So before we sit in the power there are a couple of tips

How to prepare to sit in the power?

The following tips can help you get the most out of the sitting in the power mediations.

  1. Begin by washing your hands and getting into some comfortable clothes.
  2. Pick a quiet location where you can sit down or lay down without any interruptions.
  3. Find a time of day where you can relax for 10 to 20 minutes.
  4. Set a timer so that you can fully relax and know when time is up.
  5. Be open to any experience that may come.

So now that we have got those pre-requisites out of the way, let’s get right to it.

1. Find a comfortable position

To get the maximum benefits of the sitting in the power meditation, we need to find a comfortable position so that we can relax into the experience and connect with the spiritual realm.

You can do this meditation sitting or laying down, and choose whichever one feels comfortable for you. When the body is comfortable it is easier to access heightened states of consciousness.

If you are laying down and have pain in your lower back, add a pillow under your knees. And don’t forget to have a blanket nearby just in case you get a little chilly.

2. Close your eyes and let your body relax

After finding a comfortable position, gently close your eyes. Then take a moment to feel the support of your chair, mat, or bed, and let your body adjust to its surroundings. Now just surrender to the experience.

3. Observe the breath

As your body begins to relax, move your attention to your breath. Observe the natural rhythm of your breathing with every inhale and exhale without trying to control or slow it down.

Just connect with the present moment and acknowledge your experience. If your mind starts to wander, gently guide your awareness back to your breath.

4. Take slow deep breaths

To perform this step, inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for four seconds, and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Hold your breath for four seconds before taking another inhale.

Repeat this breathing pattern at least five times or as many times as you need to relax.

5. Feel into the bodies energy field

As you relax, allow your attention to gravitate naturally to any area of the body. Notice any sensations, such as vibrations, tingling, warmth, or the feeling of moving beyond the physical body.

Become aware of your whole body at once and notice the vibrations within. This is the connection to the divine spark that resides within us all.

6. Allow you awareness to expand

As you connect to your inner life force, you’ll feel your energy expand beyond the physical body. Embrace this moment and remain present in the energy of consciousness.

This experience is unique and tailored to the person’s needs. There is no right or wrong way of connecting with the spirit.
