1. What is the history of mediumship?

What if other people judge me

In the 19th century, mediumship became very popular in the UK as part of the Spiritualist movement, where people believed they could talk to spirits. This trend spread to the US in 1851, thanks to the famous Fox sisters from New York. At first, mediumship was mostly seen as a form of entertainment with seances and Ouija boards. Over time, it changed and now focuses more on helping people heal and find guidance, especially those who are grieving. Today, many people visit mediums to find comfort and answers from the spirit world, making mediumship a source of support and hope.

2. How does mediumship work?

To practice any form of mediumship, the medium needs to elevate their consciousness to an altered state of awareness, enabling them to establish a connection with the spirit realm. Typically, this is achieved by entering a relaxed state of mind through meditation or sitting in a focused state of power. By doing so, they quiet their thoughts and provide a clear channel for spirit communication. As they calm their mind and embrace the present moment, they create an opportunity for spirits to convey their messages.

3. mental mediumship vs physical mediumship

There are two main types of mediumship these are mental mediumship and physical mediumship. Although both of them connect and bring through messages from the spirit realm, they work in very different ways. Mental mediums receive information through their psychic senses (The Clairs) so they can see images, hear sounds, feel the emotions of the spirit person in the afterlife, and relay it to their loved ones. Whereas physical mediums allow the spirit person to directly communicate through them. Your loved one uses the medium’s mind, body, and consciousness to share messages and manifest physical phenomena like apparitions, transfiguration, levitation, spirit rapping, and direct voice communication.

5. What to expect in a mediumship reading?

During a mediumship reading, you’ll receive messages from your loved ones who have passed away. The medium will share key details about the person of the spirit as proof and then provide comforting or loving messages. Whether it’s a group or private session, you can connect with your family and friends in the afterlife and receive healing from the spiritual world.

6. What types of tools do mediums use?

physical mediumship séance?

Mental mediums do not generally use or rely on tools to communicate with the afterlife. They exchange messages using their psychic faculties and communicate these messages to family members and friends. But physical mediums do use traditional tools during seances, such as spirit trumpets, spirit cabinets, and seance tables. Over the years, these tools now include disposable cameras, voice recorders motion and heat sensors.

7. Does everyone have Mediumistic Abilities?

Yes, we all have an inborn sense of intuition, and each person has different levels of mediumistic abilities that can be used to connect with spirits. While anyone can develop their skills as a mental medium, which involves receiving messages from spirits through thoughts and feelings, physical mediumship is a rare talent that only a few people possess.

8. How can i become a medium?

You struggle to fully surrender

If you want to become a psychic medium, I recommend signing up for a mediumship class or workshop taught by a professional medium. Then, join a weekly practice group you vibe with to get extra practice. And if you can afford it, find a mentor you resonate with who is experienced, ethical, and compassionate.

9. How can I develop my intuition?

If you want to develop your intuition start off by listening to your gut feelings. Promise yourself that no matter how small or little the hunch is, you will act on your intuition. This is probably one of the most important things you can do to develop your psychic faculties. But you could also ‘activate your pineal gland‘, try intuitive exercises, use crystals or essential oils, and tarot cards to strengthen your spiritual gifts.
